 我们的异象

 我们的异象是成为大渥太华地区的一个国语敬拜和门徒训练中心之一,一个福音站，差传的教会，至终以荣耀神及参与天国的扩展为终极目标。

 Our Vision Statement

We are bestowed such vision: One of the Mandarin worship and disciple training center serving Greater Ottawa areas, a gospel preaching post, a mission church with glorifying God and expanding the Kingdom of God as our ultimate purposes.   

国语卫斯理教会简介

 肯纳塔有北方硅谷之称；在九十年代，因高科技的发展，吸引了许多高科技从业人员，也有不少华裔新移民来到肯纳塔定居。一些当地的基督徒看到国语事工的需要，愿意在这个新社区开荒布道。在二零零二年七月得到了西人的肯纳塔卫斯理教会的帮助，成立了肯纳塔卫斯理教会国语堂, 并在十一月正式开始了国语事工崇拜。教会大家庭齐心协力，在华人社区传扬耶稣基督的救恩。

 二零零六年七月，四年之后，国语堂凭着信心, 带着主的使命与卫斯理联会的祝福与援助，从肯纳塔卫斯理教会独立出来，成立了现今的渥太华国语卫斯理教会。历年来，本堂会人数不断上升。直至二零零六年中，由开荒的30名会友增加至90名，并聘请全职传道人一位。此外，蒙神的恩典，国语卫斯理教会也得到肯纳塔卫斯理的协助，免费提供其会堂作为我们的聚会地点，使我们这个新生的教会一开始就带着神的祝福开始我们新的事工。 愿神使用我们，成为在大渥太华以及更广大的地区拓展神国的基地，传扬福音，完成主耶稣的大使命。

Mandarin Wesleyan Church Brief History

 Kanata is also known as Silicon Valley North: during the Hi-tech blooming in the 90s, it attracted many skilled professionals and new Chinese immigrants settled their living in Kanata. A group of Christian families saw the needs and responded the calling to start the Mandarin ministry in this community. In July 2003, the Mandarin ministry was being approved and accepted as the third Sunday worship congregation in Mandarin at Kanata Wesleyan Church. The Mandarin Sunday Service was officially started in November. Church families were united in reaching out to the Chinese community and proclaiming the God’s salvation through Jesus Christ.

 In July 2006, 4 years later, Mandarin congregation once again taking a leap of faith, burden with the Lord’s Commission and blessing from the Wesleyan Church of Canada, Ottawa Mandarin Wesleyan Church was born from the Kanata Wesleyan Church. Since the formation of Mandarin ministry in 2003, the average attendance has grown from 30 people to about 90 people. At present, we have a full-time mandarin pastor. Under the God’s grace and provision, Kanata Wesleyan Church provided us free facility usage to Sunday worship on Sunday; we truly experience God’s blessing in our ministry as a newly formed Mandarin church. May our God continues to use us and be a blessing to our countryman; be a outreach preaching point for God’s kingdom, preaching the gospel and fulfilling our Lord’s Great Commission!  

信仰宣言

 （一）我们笃信唯一的永活真神，充满圣洁与慈爱，永恒，全能，全智与至善, 乃万事的创造者与维持者。圣父、圣子、圣灵（三位一体），具有同一本性、权能与永恒性的三位格合而为一。

 （二）我们笃信耶稣基督，神的独生子。祂由圣灵感孕，为童女马利亚所生，既为真神，又为真人。祂死于十字架上并被埋葬，为我们的罪作了挽回祭，使我们与天父重新建立正确的关系。基督身体从死里复活，升天，坐在天父的右边，为我们代求，直到末世再来，审判世人。

 （三）我们笃信基督一次并永远有效地献上自己，通过祂的受苦及十字架上的受死，为全世界偿还罪债。除此以外，别无拯救。这赎罪对于每一个人都是充分的，并且对于这些人的救恩无条件有效，包括天生的弱智者，得救后变成弱智的人及还未达到能为自己的行为负责的年龄的孩童。然而，对于那些已经达到能为自己的行为负责的年龄的人，只有他悔改认罪，在他生命的主和救主耶稣基督里操练信心，这救恩才有效。

 （四）我们笃信新旧约全书各卷是圣经。它们是神所默示的绝对无误的神的话语，原稿上无错误并且超越一切人间权威，传至现世，教义上完好无损。我们相信它们包括救恩所需要的一切；凡圣经未载，或未经圣经证明之道，即不必信为或视为救恩之道。

 （五）我们笃信神呼召并要求万人“当尽心，尽性，尽意，尽力爱主你的神，并爱人如己”，这是圣经所载一切律法的总纲。

 （六）我们笃信基督教会是耶稣基督众信徒的全体，耶稣基督是教会的建立者及唯一元首。地上的教会为着传扬纯粹的圣道，根据基督的指示合宜地主持圣礼，并且顺服基督的大诫命。地方教会是信徒根据福音原则正式组成的实体，为了传福音、造就、团契和崇拜。卫斯理教会是全体信徒的一部分。

 （七）我们笃信水礼和圣餐是基督颁立的教会圣礼。水礼是教会的一种圣礼，为我主所颁立，由信徒所领受。凭借此礼，信徒宣告其对救主耶稣基督的信仰。主亲自设立圣餐，以此记念祂，直到祂再来，这也是神人之间崭新盟约的印记。凡信耶稣基督者均可领取。

 （八）我们笃信耶稣基督再来的确据激励我们过圣洁的生活，并鼓舞我们普世宣教的热情。

 （九）我们笃信万人均会从死里身体复活――义者复活得永生，不义者复活得永咒。我们相信圣经清楚教导人死后有生命。每个人的最终命运由神的恩典，怜悯及本人的回应所决定。对于选择了神通过耶稣基督预备的救恩的人，具有永恒荣耀并充满基督同在的福气的天堂是他们最终居所；但是，对于蔑视这浩大救恩的人，无尽悲惨及与神隔绝的地狱是他们的最终居所。  

Statement of Beliefs

1. We believe in the one living and true God, both holy and loving, eternal, unlimited in power, wisdom, and goodness, the Creator and Preserver of all things. Within this unity there are three persons of one essential nature, power and eternity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Trinity).

2. We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, truly God, truly man. He died on the cross and was buried, to be the sacrifice for our sins, and to bring us back into a right relationship with our Heavenly Father. Christ rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and there intercedes for us at the Father's right hand until He returns to judge all men at the last day.

3. We believe that Christ's offering of himself, once and for all, through His sufferings and death on the cross, provides the perfect payment for the sins of the whole world. There is no other ground of salvation from sin but that alone. This payment is sufficient for every person and is unconditionally effective for the salvation of those mentally incompetent from birth, of those converted persons who have become mentally incompetent, and of children under the age of accountability. But it is effective for the salvation of those who reach the age of accountability only when they repent of their sins and exercise faith in Jesus Christ, as Lord and Saviour of their life.

4. We believe that the books of the Old and New Testaments are the Holy Scriptures. They are the inspired and infallibly written word of God, without error in their original manuscripts and superior to all human authority. They have been transmitted to the present time without corruption of any essential doctrine. We believe that they contain all things that are necessary to salvation; so that whatever is not read within its pages, nor be proved thereby, that it be believed as an article of faith, or be thought necessary to salvation.

5. We believe that God calls and requires all mankind to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbours as ourselves", and that this summarizes the devine law as it is revealed in the Bible.

6. We believe that the Christian church is the entire body of believers in Jesus Christ, who is the founder and only head of the church. The church on earth is to preach the pure word of God, properly administer the sacraments according to Christ's instructions, and live in obedience to all that Christ commands. A local church is a body of believers formally organized on gospel principles, meeting regularly for the purposes of evangelism, nurture, fellowship and worship. The Wesleyan Church is only one part of the whole body of believers.

7. We believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are the sacraments of the church commanded by Christ. Water baptism is a sacrament of the church, commanded by our Lord and administered to believers. By means of this sacrament, believers declare their faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour. The Lord himself instituted the Lord's Supper, giving it as a means of remembering Him until He comes again, and as a seal of the new covenant between God and man. It is available to anyone who has put his or her personal faith in Jesus Christ.

8. We believe that the certainty of the personal return of Jesus Christ inspires holy living and zeal for the evangelization of the world.

9. We believe in the bodily resurrection from the dead for all mankind - of the righteous, a resurrection to eternal life; of the unjust, to eternal damnation. We believe that the Scriptures clearly teach that there is a conscious personal existence after death. The final destiny of each man is determined by God's grace, mercy, and man's response. Heaven with its eternal glory and the blessedness of Christ's presence is the final abode of those who choose the salvation which God provides through Jesus Christ, but hell with its everlasting misery and separation from God is the final abode of those who neglect this great salvation.
